
Marc A. Isaacs represents clients in all aspects of family law in the District of Columbia and Maryland, including complex marital dissolution actions, spousal support, high conflict custody matters, child support, paternity, pre/post nuptial agreements, and non-marital cohabitation cases.
Marc excels at understanding the needs and interests of his clients along with identifying creative solutions that work best for them and their families. As a trained mediator and collaborative divorce attorney, Marc brings his philosophy and experience of finding common ground to challenging circumstances and areas of conflict. He is an Executive Board Member of the D.C. Academy of Collaborative Professionals and is currently serving as their Immediate Past President.
Marc is on the D.C. Bar Superior Court's Approved Roster of ADR Facilitators for Domestic Relations Cases, as well as an approved mediator in the Circuit Court of Montgomery County, Maryland for Marital Property and Child Custody/Access Cases. Additionally, he is frequently appointed as a Child Privileged Attorney in the Montgomery County Circuit Court.
Marc’s time in the courtroom as a trial attorney has helped him understand the financial and emotional costs of litigation and the powerful options available to families that work together to reach an out-of-court settlement. When settlement is not an option, Marc has extensive experience litigating complex family law cases in both the District of Columbia and Maryland.
Family law presents a wide range of legal issues and often requires application of legal principles from a variety of different doctrines and statutes. Marc brings his diverse background and knowledge of the law in providing client-centered advocacy and representation.
